The boats of Warren Cole were considered steady. It was said of them that they would roll but would not
turn over.Something in the swell of the ribs checked the roll before water came over the gunwale.As a result,
Cole boats were favored by the inexperienced guests at lake-shore boarding houses and by camp-owning
families with children who were learning to row.

This little gem was patterned after the Sairy Gamp built by J. Henry Rushton for George Washington Sears (pename Nessmuk), an outdoor-writer of the time. The Wee Lassie remains a very popular boat design to this day. It is light, easy to maneuver, tracks well for the length and is simply just a very pretty little boat.

Because of the popularity of the small plastic kayaks, Greg decided to make a lighter and more handsome version in wood. Using the hull design of the Wee Lassie he added the deck and a comfortable seat.
When a sprayskirt is worn, this boat will not take on water which makes it an excellent choice for carrying
your necessities to spend a night or two in the wilderness.
